Tumblr blogs to display ads, Partner Program in the works

On Thursday [today], we’re going to introduce ads on Tumblrs, so that later this year people can start making money from their blogs.

You can turn off advertising in your Tumblr settings if you don"t want ads showing on your blog.

Tumblr is still "working out the details" of the partner program, but it should be coming later this year.
