The farmers come to town in the Autumn and sell their produce, cabbages are used to make a pickle for use during the winter and is a traditional food for the area. Kumara (sweet potato) are a favourite, also potatoes, turnips of all shapes and sizes, leeks, chili, and all types of fruit. We did a lot of bulk buying for the coming winter.
